One day, the chairs in the Literature Club were lent out to other clubs, leaving only a single chair behind. Kakeru and Yuzu began a lighthearted argument, each trying to yield the remaining seat to the other. Each wanted the other to sit more than themselves. Because of their mutual kindness, neither would back down, resulting in a stalemate—until finally, Yuzu’s opinion won out, and Kakeru ended up sitting in the chair alone. Kakeru felt guilty being the only one sitting, but right then, he had a flash of inspiration.
“Since I'm the one sitting in the chair, if I become the chair and let Yuzu-senpai sit on my lap… wouldn't that work?”
…Or so he thought.
