Arata, an unsuccessful novelist suffering from insomnia due to writer's block, encounters a mysterious girl named Rei while wandering through a park at night. Rei is a vampire living quietly in modern society, yet she cannot enjoy the taste of food or blood. As the sleepless novelist and the vampire who knows nothing of deliciousness meet, the two begin an unusual relationship that may fulfill each other's desires.
