In the Kingdom of Arkadict, where spirits live, Alice, the daughter of a duke, is hurt by the cold attitude of her childhood friend and fiancé, the crown prince Ernest, but remains strong-willed. One day, Alice is falsely accused by Saint Lucia of making a blunder at a ball. Blamed by everyone there, Alice runs away alone and without help.
